Taking digital Asian sport content to millions

Aside from its football, golf and cricket events, World Sport Group (WSG) also provides production and global distribution for various sporting events in the region through television and digital platforms.

WSG, in partnership with Perform Group and Content Craft, successfully delivered the digital broadcast of the 1st Asian Youth Games (AYG), held in Singapore from 29 June to 7 July 2009. The official website – www.ayg2009.sg – generated 2.6 million page views from visitors from 141 countries during the Games. As the official website developer and web broadcaster, the WSG-led consortium provided host broadcaster services, content creation, site architecture and management; creating an interactive web community that connected youth across Asia and throughout the world. The inaugural AYG is the first multi-sport event to receive approval from the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) to provide broadcast coverage for all 90 competitions via digital channels. More than 165 live hours featuring nine sports were broadcast on www.ayg2009.sg. The site received 46,000 hours of play-time, with live streams recording over 200,000 hits during the Games.
